2 Kings 25:5-7

5But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king and overtook him in the plains of Jericho, and all his army was scattered from him. 6Then they captured the king aand brought him up to the king of Babylon at bRiblah, and they passed sentence on him. 7They slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, cand put out the eyes of Zedekiah and bound him in chains and took him to Babylon.

2 Kings 25:18-21

18 dAnd the captain of the guard took eSeraiah the chief priest and fZephaniah the second priest and the three keepers of the threshold; 19and from the city he took an officer who had been in command of the men of war, and gfive men of the king’s council who were found in the city; and the secretary of the commander of the army, who mustered the people of the land; and sixty men of the people of the land, who were found in the city. 20And Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them and brought them to the king of Babylon at hRiblah. 21And the king of Babylon struck them down and put them to death at iRiblah in the land of Hamath. jSo Judah was taken into exile out of its land.

Jerusalem Captured and Burned

17 kTherefore he brought up against them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or aged. He gave them all into his hand. 18 lAnd all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king and of his princes, all these he brought to Babylon. 19 mAnd they burned the house of God and broke down the wall of Jerusalem and burned all its palaces with fire and destroyed all its precious vessels. 20He ntook into exile in Babylon those who had escaped from the sword, oand they became servants to him and to his sons until the establishment of the kingdom of Persia,

Ezekiel 12:12-16

12 pAnd the prince who is among them shall lift his baggage upon his shoulder at dusk, and shall go out. qThey shall dig through the wall to bring him out through it. rHe shall cover his face, that he may not see the land with his eyes. 13 sAnd I will spread my net over him, and he shall be taken in my snare. And tI will bring him to Babylon, the land of the Chaldeans, uyet he shall not see it, and he shall die there. 14 vAnd I will scatter toward every wind all who are around him, his helpers and all his troops, wand I will unsheathe the sword after them. 15 xAnd they shall know that I am the Lord, when I disperse them among the nations and scatter them among the countries. 16 yBut I will let a few of them escape from the sword, from famine and pestilence, that they may declare all their abominations among the nations where they go, zand may know that I am the Lord.”

Ezekiel 17:20-21
